China dahulu memang sangat terkenal dengan istilah Negara Komunis, negara yang semua perekonomiannya diatur oleh Negara dan warga negara yang menentangnya akan dihukum jadi tidak boleh ada salah satu warganya yang menentang kebijaksanaan yang dikeluarkan oleh pemerintahannya. China juga membungkam atau mengekang pers di negaranya sendiri. Organisasi Reporters Sans Frontieres (RSF) yang berkedudukan di Paris pada 4 Januari 2006 silam juga melaporkan bahwa kasus penahanan terhadap wartawan sepanjang tahun 2005 paling banyak terjadi di China. Data yang dikumpulkan organisasi reporter lintas negara itu menunjukkan sampai 1 Januari 2006 lalu, jumlah wartawan yang ditahan di negara komunis itu sebanyak 32 orang. Di sini media diberi pengawasan yang ketat.
Pembredelan dan penyitaan terhadap media juga bisa dilakukan. Tetapi sekarang China merubah sistem perekonomiannya ke arah yang lebih baik lagi, tidak ada lagi pengekangan terhadap pers, memberi kebebasan kepada warga negara untuk mengatur perekonomiannya sendiri, menambah kuasa pegawai tempatan dan pengurus kilang dalam indrustri, dan membenarkan berbagai pengusahawanan dalam servis dan perkilangan ringan, dan membuka ekonomi kepada perdagangan dan pelaburan liar. Kawalan harga juga telah dilonggarkan. Ini telah mewujudkan penukaran sistem ekonomi berasaskan komunis menjadi sistem ekonomi campuran komunis dan kapitalisme.
Pada beberapa tahun terakhir, China telah menegaskan lebih lanjut target dan tugas penyempurnaan sistem ekonomi pasar sosialis yaitu suatu pasar ekonomi dimana kepemilikan publik merupakan arus utama, sebagai bukti bahwa antara tahun 1989 sampai 2001, jumlah perusahaan negara anjlok dari 102.300 buah menjadi 46.800. sedangkan jumlah perusahaan swasta meledak dari 90.000 buah menjadi 2 juta buah.
Hal ini sesuai dengan tuntutan mempertimbangkan secara menyeluruh perkembangan kota dan desa, perkembangan regional, perkembangan sosial ekonomi, perkembangan harmonis antara manusia dan alam, serta perkembangan di dalam negeri dan keterbukaan terhadap dunia luar, mengembangkan peranan dasar pasar dalam alokasi sumber daya, meningkatkan fitalitas dan fungsi pemerintah di bidang pengelolaan sosial dan layanan umum, dan memberikan jaminan sistem yang kuat kepada pembangunan masyarakat cukup sejahtera secara menyeluruh.
Kemudian China berusaha menyempurnakan sistem pokok ekonomi di mana ekonomi milik negara merupakan bagian utama dan ekonomi multi kepemilikan berkembang bersama, mendirikan sitem yang menguntungkan untuk mengubah struktur ekonomi dualis antara kota dan desa, membentuk mekanisme yang mendorong perkembangan harmonis ekonomi regional, membangun sistem pasar modern yang seragam, terbuka dan bersaing secara tertib, menyempurnakan sistem pengontrolan makro, sistem pengelolaan administrasi dan sistem hukum ekonomi, menyempurnakan sistem penempatan kerja, distribusi pendapatan dan jaminan sosial, dan mendirikan mekanisme yang mendorong perkembangan yang berkelanjutan di bidang ekonomi dan sosial. Dengan adanya data seperti yang di atas, maka China dapat digolongkan ke dalam negara yang menganut sistem perekonomian sosialis.
Dan ini sangat memberi pengaruh terhadap perekonomian China sampai-sampai AS yang notabene adalah negara adidaya, tidak mampu menghadapi perekonomian China yang memiliki nilai kemajuan ekonomi sangat pesat berkat sistem ekonomi yang mereka anut. Sebenarnya kita harus belajar dari China bukan malah belajar dari Amerika yang sekarang ini sedang mengalami krisis hebat. Sekarang China juga sedang membuka pasar ekonomi bebas, yang artinya mereka membuka perekonomian untuk siapapun demi tercapainya kesejahteraan bagi masyarakatnya. Pasar bebas sendiri merupakan ciri dari sistem ekonomi liberalisme atau kapitalisme. Jadi sistem ekonomi China adalah sistem ekonomi campuran antara sosialis, kapitalisme, dan komunisme.
Dampaknya bagi kesejahteraan dan kemakmuran rakyat China adalah masyarakat dapat mengembangkan inisiatif dan kreatifitas, sehingga masyarakat secara otomatis dapat menjalankan usaha dengan lebih maksimal. Dengan adanya campur tangan pemerintah juga, maka dapat meminimalisir monopoli oleh pihak swasta. Sehingga ekonomi negara juga bisa berjalan stabil dan rakyat juga akan mendapat dampak positif dari hal itu.
Dengan sistem ekonomi ini, bisa kita bayangkan. Individu tidak dapat mengeksploitasi seluruh perekonomian, namun individu masih bisa mendapat kesempatan untuk mengembangkan kreatifitas usaha.
Dalam hal ini pemerintahkan akan ikut campur juga, jadi pemerintah juga akan ikut bertanggung jawab. Jadi disini kita dapat sama-sama memperoleh keuntungan meskipun tidak maksimal sesuai keinginan kita. Setidaknya diantara pihak pemerintah dan masyarakat punya hak untuk ikut andil dalam menjalankan kegiatan ekonomi ini.
Sistem perekonomian Pancasila sendiri sudah dianut bangsa Indonesia sejak awal kemerdekaan hingga saat ini. Akan tetapi yang menjadi sebuah kemirisan dan menghawatirkan adalah bahwa sistem tersebut ditempatkan hanya sebagai sebuah wacana atau konsep belaka. Seiring perkembangan zaman secara evolusi maupun revolusi bangsa ini perlahan telah menerapkan sistem ekonomi yang lain dalam menjalankan roda perekonomiannya, yaitu terutama sistem kapitalis.
Pemerintah lewat kebijakannya sangat mendewakan sistem ini. Lihat saja sudah banyak aset negara ( BUMN) yang harus rela menjadi korban jual beli kepada kapitalis hanya sekedar untuk mendapatkan dana segar sesaat. Padahal jika dilihat lagi dalm UUD 1945 sangat jelas tertulis pada pasal 33 bahwa “bumi,air dan kekayaan alam yang terkandung didalamnya yang menyangkut hajat hidup orang banyak dikuasai sepenuhnya oleh negara untuk dikelola demi kesejahteraan rakyat”.Bahkan dalam pasal 33 ada penjelasan yang cukup rinci mengenai apa yang dikehendaki oleh Undang-undang Dasar, mengenai bagaimana ekonomi kita harus dikelola dan dikembangkan.Lantas mengapa kekayaan alam tersebut rela dijual? Hal inilah yang telah menunjukkan bahwa bagaiman sistem ekonomi yang kita jalankan sudah keblinger, melenceng dan melanggar dari amanat UUD 1945. Secara paradigma atau tertulis kita memang menganut sistem ekonomi pancasila tapi kenyataannya di dalam implementasinya kita tidak dan yang ada mengadopsi sistem lain yang sangat bertentangan dengan kepribadian bangsa.
Tentu saat ini yang menjadi tanya besar, mengapa atau ada apa sebenarnya Indonesia meninggalkan sistem perekonomian yang dianutnya ? Sepertinya masih banyak penghuni negara ini belum mengerti dan meyakini bahwa sistem ekonomi pancasila adalah yang terbaik untuk bangsa Indonesia. Hal inilah yang harus segera diluruskan.
Ekonomi Pancasila, dengan nilai kemanusiaan yang adil dan beradab, menghormati martabat kemanusiaan serta hak dan kewajiban asasi manusia dalam kehidupan ekonomi. Dalam ekonomi Pancasila dengan demikian tidak dikenal“economic animal”,yang satu memangsa yang lain. Ekonomi Pancasila berakar di bumi Indonesia. Meskipun ekonomi dunia sudah menyatu, pasar sudah menjadi global, namun selama masih ada bangsa dan negara Indonesia, maka ekonomi Indonesia tetap diabdikan bagi kesejahteraan dan kemajuan bangsa Indonesia.
Sila Persatuan Indonesia, mengamanatkan kesatuan ekonomi sebagai penjabaran wawasan nusantara di bidang ekonomi. Globalisasi kegiatan ekonomi tidak menyebabkan internasionalisasi kepentingan ekonomi. Kepentingan ekonomi kita tetap diabdikan untuk kepentingan bangsa Indonesia. Ekonomi Pancasila dengan demikian berwawasan kebangsaan dan tetap membutuhkan sikap patriotik dari para pelakunya meskipun kegiatannya sudah mengglobal. Sila keempat dalam Pancasila menunjukkan pandangan bangsa Indonesia mengenai kedaulatan rakyat dan bagaimana demokrasi dijalankan di Indonesia.
Di bidang ekonomi, Ekonomi Pancasila dikelola dalam sebuah sistem demokratis yang dalam Undang-undang Dasar secara eksplisit disebutdemokrasi ekonomi.
Nilai-nilai dasar sila kelima, keadilan sosial bagi seluruh rakyat Indonesia, menunjukkan betapa seluruh upaya pembangunan kita, seluruh upaya untuk mengembangkan pertumbuhan ekonomi dikaitkan dengan pemerataan pembangunan dan hasil-hasilnya menuju kepada terciptanya kemakmuran yang berkeadilan bagi seluruh rakyat Indonesia dalam sistem ekonomi yang disusun sebagai usaha bersama berdasarkan atas asas kekeluargaan.
Dampak terhadap kesejahteraan rakyat pun akan terwujudkan jika sistem ekonomi Pancasila yang kita anut itu dapat berjalan dengan benar. Misalnya saja pada sila kelima keadilan sosial bagi seluruh rakyat Indonesia, jika hal tersebut bisa diwujudkan maka keadilan antar wilayah (daerah), yang memungkinkan seluruh wilayah di Indonesia dapat berkembang sesuai potensi masing-masing.

Sistem Ekonomi di Amerika
Salah satu budaya politik Amerika adalah sistem perekonomian kapital. Kapitalisme adalah metode alternative untuk mendistribusikan keuntungan dan kerugian ekonomi. Kapitalisme mengharuskan pemerintah untuk terlibat dalam kegiatan ekonomi seminimal mungkin.
Bebas berusaha dan kepercayaan diri adalah prinsip-prinsip dasar dari kapitalisme. Firma atau perusahaan diperbolehkan untuk beroperasi di pasar bebas dan terbuka, dan individu-individu diharapkan mampu berusaha dengan inisiatif mereka sendiri untuk membangun keamanan stabilitas ekonomi mereka. Perusahaan menentukan apa yang akan mereka produksi dan harga untuk barang dan jasa mereka sementara pembeli menentukan apa yang akan mereka beli dengan harga berapa.
Amerika serikat tidak secara murni menganut sistem kapitalisme, karena pemerintah mengambil peran dalam mengatur dan mendorong perekonomian. Istilah ekonomi campuran ini digunakan dalam menentukan bentuk anasir berbeda dari sistem ekonomi kombinasi antara elemen sosialis dan kapitalis. Amerika Serikat mengadopsi lebih banyak elemen kapitalis daripada elemen sosialis. Karena tradisi individualisme yang kuat, orang Amerika cenderung membatasi tujuan dari tindakan pemerintah dalam bidang ekonomi.
Menanggapi hal ini, sistem ekonomi kapitalis yang dianut Amerika benyak membawa dampak negatif bagi Amerika sendiri maupun negara lain. Bagaimana tidak, semua kegiatan produksi, konsumsi, maupun distribusi diatur bebas oleh masing-masing individu dan pemerintah tidak ikut campur tangan akan masalah ini. Individu tersebut akan menentukan harga beserta labanya sendiri sesuai keinginannya. Hal ini bisa dimanfaatkan individu untuk mengambil laba sebanyak-banyaknya. Jika hal ini terjadi, tidak lain, Amerika bisa mengalami krisis ekonomi dan aset negara yang harus dikorbankan.
Ekonomi kapitalis memang sistem ekonomi rapuh yang dimiliki oleh Amerika. Bagaimana tidak, penguatkuasaan undang-undang penghapusan hamba secara serta merta telah menyebabkan pekerja-pekerja di sektor peladangan dan perindustrian pada ketika itu lumpuh karena pekerja-pekerja yang sebelum ini tidak mau bekerja lagi dengan majikan asal mereka. Hal ini karena majikan atau pengusaha kapitalis tersebut telah melakukan kedzaliman dan penindasan terhadap pekerja atau buruh tersebut dalam usaha memaksimumkan keuntungan dan meminimumkan kos.
Jadi ekonomi kapitalis sangat merendahkan derajad si miskin. Bisa dikatakan, yang kaya makin kaya, yang miskin makin tertindas karena kemiskinannya. Hal ini dirasa sangat tidak adil memang.
Susah memang untuk menyejahterakan masyarakat dengan ekonomi kapitalis ini. Sudah jelas sekali ini sangat merugikan negara atau pihak-pihak rendah (buruh, dll). Dampak positif yang mungkin ditimbulkan adalah dapat meningkatkan inisiatif dan kreatifitas di masyarakat. Dan masyarakat bisa bersaing dengan menghasilkan produk yang sangat berkualitas. Ini adalah keuntungan-keuntungan yang bisa diperoleh. Namun hal tersebut tidak seberapa dengan kelemahan-kelemahan yang diakibatkan. Dampak negatifnya akan jauh lebih besar dan jauh lebih menghancurkan ekonomi negara yaitu krisis ekonomi.
